Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute | Institut Penyelidikan Tanah Gambut Sarawak

The Sarawak Tropical Peat Research Institute (STROPI) was founded in the year 2008. The institute was initially established as the Tropical Peat Research Laboratory Unit (TPRL) under the mandate of the Sarawak government. The establishment of the TPRL signified the Sarawak government�s commitment to address the development of tropical peatlands for agriculture and its corresponding effect on global climate change, in a scientific and credible manner.
